The Date

Posted in triplicate (a Trilogy) around these #ALTACITIES is the following #SocialCurrentSee archive that is a fitting precursor to archived content on our FLIPBOARD magazines and the allied post on our NEXTDOOR Trilogy message board:

Basically, there are two reasons why I identify with the story in the video clip below.
1) We live in a the TGI 55+ common interest development (aka HOA) in Southern California. Here, among the 1317 homes, are many residents who are living out their senior years without the presence of a spouse they had loved for decades.
2) A growing number of my professional colleagues, family members, and friends have suffered this kind of separation in life. Of course, Dee Dee and I are most thankful we are still together as a couple (now nearly 45 years) and have survived many challenges to our longevity both in life and in matrimony. Notable in this regard has been our ten-year survivorship with a cancer episode that began for me in 2006.

Yet the story in 'the choice' reminds us that even in the midst of our worst sorrows, our sovereign and loving God can be trusted. Read: Psalm 34:15-22
